Terms of use
These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of Stack Check (the "App"), provided by Bite Sized Apps ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Educational use only
Stack Check performs nutrient-label calculations using amounts you enter or import and compares those amounts with selected public nutrition reference values. It is an educational reference tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose or treat any condition, identify drug or supplement interactions, recommend a dose, or determine whether a supplement or amount is safe for you.
Consult a qualified clinician or pharmacist before making health decisions or starting, stopping, or changing a supplement, especially if you take medication, have a health condition, are treating a deficiency, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. The App is intended for adults age 19 and older and is not designed for children or teens.
Calculation and reference limitations
- The App adds the nutrient amounts and servings represented by the products you enter.
- It does not include food, beverages, medications, or products you have not entered.
- Public reference values can vary by age, sex, pregnancy or lactation status, nutrient form, source, and individual circumstances.
- A value below a displayed reference does not establish that an amount is appropriate or safe for you. A value above a reference is not a diagnosis of toxicity or harm.
- Some units or nutrient forms cannot be reliably converted. Review the source notes and your physical product label.
Use of the app
Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits, use it to violate another person's rights, or attempt to access systems or data without authorization.
Your data and entries
You are responsible for checking the accuracy, units, serving amounts, nutrient forms, and completeness of information you enter, import, save, or share. Your saved stack is stored locally on your device as described in our privacy policy.
Third-party data and services
Barcode scans, name searches, and website imports may pull label data from third-party sources (NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database, Open Food Facts, Open Products Facts, USDA FoodData Central, or a product page you choose). Third-party records can be incomplete, outdated, incorrectly matched, or different from your physical product. We do not control or guarantee their availability or accuracy. Confirm all imported information against the current physical label before relying on a calculation.
Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, product-data services, retailer websites, and sharing destinations is also subject to their applicable terms.
Purchases
Stack Check Plus is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the features described in the App at the time of purchase. The applicable storefront displays the localized price before you confirm payment. Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment, and RevenueCat helps us verify and restore the purchase.
Billing, refunds, family sharing, purchase restoration, and storefront availability are subject to the policies of the storefront through which you purchased. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Features that depend on third-party platform services may be unavailable if those services are unavailable.
App-store terms
These Terms supplement the terms that apply through the storefront where you obtained the App, including Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement when applicable. If these Terms conflict with mandatory storefront terms, the mandatory storefront terms control.
Intellectual property
The App, its design, software, and original content are owned by Bite Sized Apps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public reference data and third-party product information remain subject to their respective owners' rights and terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every product will be found, or that user entries, imported data, calculations, reference data, flags, or exports will be complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bite Sized Apps and its owners, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on App content, calculations, imported information, exports, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license to use the App if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
Changes to the App or these Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date when these Terms change. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
